  • Parents Involvement -Parent Support Group (PSG)

We encourage an open dialogue between teachers and parents to benefit children’s learning. We believe that parents should play a key and active role in the school and the learning opportunities that
take place in and around it, for all children. If you feel that you have anything relating to your child that you wish to discuss, please come and see us. Also, if could offer any new learning to children then please contact the school, examples are below:

    • Help organising school events such as swimming galas or sports days.
    • Assisting with the library.
    • Act as a representative for your child’s class in the PSG.
    • Offer new learning opportunities through an After School Activity.
    • Support learning through an IEYC/IPC/IMYC unit of work in an area which you are a specialist e.g. art, food, fashion.

The school has a system of Class Parent(s), who also supports the PSG. The class teacher will ask for volunteers for this position in September.

The school has a Parents Support Group consisting of:

    • The Head Teacher.
    • Representative(s) from the parent communit.

Please contact the PSG chair, Mrs Georgeline Nliam, for more information.

    School Board

The school has an established School Board to help support and improve learning opportunities at the school. This advisory body is made up of the chair (VP HR) senior managers within Renaissance and two parental board members. Meetings are held as often as possible and regular communication about the school’s progress and future is shared through regular email.

The School Board at Rumukoroshe School provides leadership and guidance in shaping the school’s vision, policies, and overall direction. Working closely with staff, parents, and the community, the Board ensures that every decision supports quality education, accountability, and the holistic development of all students.

    Student Council

The Student Council at Rumukoroshe School represents the voice of the student body and plays an active role in promoting leadership, responsibility, and teamwork among learners.

The student council is made up of eight members:

    Head - Zimzo

    Deputy - Udo

    Council member - Tomi

    Council member - Ayah

    Council member - Andrei

    Council member - Catoo

    Council member - Koride

    Council member - Jaden

The Head and Deputy work together to lead the council and all its council members help make the ideas come to life. These Ideas come from the other students and are put in the Every Voice Matters box. They meet up every Wednesday during lunchtime for 15 mins to discuss and plan.
